🌶How do you grow black pepper at home?
⚈Since black pepper is a
tropical plant, so it requires a hot and humid climate. It’s a bit difficult to
grow black pepper at home if not provided proper temperature and water.
⚈Do not use the regular
black peppercorns which are used in food, as chances are very slim for them to
grow into plants because of all the food-related processing. It’s better to use
fresh ones.
⚈Fill a container with
well-fertilized soil, make a hole of about ½ inch deep, and keep some distance
between them. Drop a seed in each hole, then fill it. Water it, keep the soil
moist, do not let it dry.
⚈Once the plant grows,
transfer it to a pot or on land, where ever you want to plant it.
⚈You will see red and green
peppercorn in a plant. If you want your pepper to be white, harvest them when
they are red and if you want it to be black, harvest them when it's green.
